Dear Pastor & Brethren, We thank God for the new year and all the blessings that He has given us and will continue to pour out on us. We had a wonderful time visiting Isa’s family in Sighetu Marmatiei during the holidays. God has been at work and we give Him all the glory for it. During the holidays Bro. Lou was able to lead four people in Saveni to the Lord. Also during the month of January we had three more in Saveni receive Christ as their personal Saviour, one them is a young boy in Sister Vernice’s Sunday school class. The people in Saveni are hungry for God’s word and are just drinking it all in. We have one young man, Ciprian, who has memorized 25 Bible verses, all the books of the Bible in order, the Ten Commandments and the names of the twelve Apostoles, all in one month. The others are also memorizing their verses as well. Praise God!! In Baranca the services are good. Isa is really enjoying teaching the kids in Baranca, she is in charge of preparing the lessons for the teams of teachers that we have teaching in Baranca. Each team has two people that rotate in teaching, So Isa is able to teach once every two weeks, and she helps Nicoleta, her teammate, during the other weeks. I am currently descipling a young man named Benone. He is really enjoying the course, and can’t wait to do the next lesson. I noticed in him a desire to learn God’s word; also he is one of our most loving young men in church. We have many high school students coming to our Sunday evening services in Baranca, their coming is a direct result of Bro. Lou taking them from Baranca to Darabani for school and back home again after school. God is using this ministry and we hope to see these young people saved soon; we can already sense conviction in their hearts. Please be in much prayer about our coming back to Canada. We have got our passports done, we bought the airplane tickets for April 24th, BUT the Canadian Embassy refused Isa’s visa application. They said that she did not satisfy the officer that she would come back to Romania after her visit, and that she was trying to immigrate to Canada. We are trying to pull some strings on our side, and my parents are trying to do the same on the Canadian side. So please pray that we will succeed in getting her a visa. I know God is in control and He knows best! If we will not be able to get her a visa, her ticket is refundable, and she will have to stay in Romania with her mom while I come back to raise support. We really don’t want that to happen, but then God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, and our ways are not God’s ways. He might have a different plan, and we will need to be flexible, but we will not give up until He makes it clear what His plan is. So please pray!! Thank you for your support and prayers which allow us to be here! God Bless you!! CommentsLeave a Reply |
